Primary Focus & Experience

Steve is a persistent and unwavering advocate for his clients. Steve focuses his practice on commercial litigation, business strategy, and administrative compliance. He’s represented a wide variety of individual, commercial, and state actors. Steve counsels businesses on regulatory compliance, legal strategy for growth, avoidance of employee disputes, and other legal issues. Steve believes that consistent and calculated effort yields results.

Prior to joining Takos Law Group, Steve gained litigation experience while serving as an attorney with the Florida Department of Financial Services, where he represented the State of Florida in administrative hearings, and on appeal, in both complex workers compensation and medical service cases. While there, he also represented and advised trust fund managing committees on financial strategies, statutory compliance, and litigation avoidance. Steve’s experience dealing with workers’ compensation compliance issues uniquely positions him to provide the best possible defense for his client’s facing these kinds of disputes.

While there, he represented clients at motion hearings, settlement conferences, and in post-judgment collection settings.
