Primary Focus & Experience

Christian McKinnon is a litigator who focuses on resolving complex commercial disputes and partnership issues. He represents and advises clients in a wide range of business matters, including contract disputes, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and other commercial law issues.

Christian earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas, where he concentrated on corporate structure and pretrial litigation. During law school, he externed for the Honorable Timothy C. Williams, gaining valuable experience in courtroom management, legal analysis, and understanding how judges and juries evaluate legal issues. While he strives to resolve disputes efficiently, Christian’s litigation training and experience enable him to take cases through trial when necessary.

Before joining Takos Law Group, Christian worked with two respected commercial litigation firms in Las Vegas, where he handled complex business disputes from inception through trial preparation. He also served with the Utah Division of Securities, where he assisted in compliance and investigative matters at the state level. Additionally, Christian represented UNLV at the Tulane NFL Negotiation Competition, honing his negotiation and advocacy skills.

Prior to law school, Christian earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Utah State University. While there, he was a sportswriter for the Utah Statesman, the university’s student newspaper.
